Steven Zuck started Zuck Legal with one rule: the person who takes your call is the person who tries your case.
Before opening his own firm, Steven built his courtroom experience the hard way, handling hundreds of appearances in criminal, personal injury, and insurance litigation across New York City and Nassau County. He learned how prosecutors build cases, how judges run their courtrooms, and how quickly a case turns on a detail someone else missed.
Long before law school, he founded a multilingual document services company that produced legally certified translations for clients from around the world. That business taught him two things he still uses every day: how to explain difficult material clearly, and how to earn the trust of people navigating a system in their second language. Steven is fluent in English and Russian and built his practice in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, serving one of the largest Russian-speaking communities in the United States.
Criminal defense and immigration, handled together
Most firms do one or the other. Steven does both because, for non-citizens, they are the same case. A misdemeanor plea that a criminal lawyer calls a win can make a client deportable or bar them from citizenship. Steven evaluates every charge for its immigration consequences before advising a client on how to resolve it. On the immigration side, he handles green cards, naturalization, asylum, family petitions, waivers, appeals, and removal defense, and he goes to court when USCIS stalls with a writ of mandamus.
